GREAT POST! Really wonderful thinking here. I think you&#039;re dead on. Until big media companies realize that their most effective distribution medium isn&#039;t their&#039;s they&#039;re going to keep creating a HUGE volume of content hoping it hits the right target.

I think it&#039;s a content challenge that they have yet to have owned up to. By my count there are only five really popular articles in the NYT most popular articles widget. Maybe they should focus on those...?
