No User Left Behind: Jeff Gomer

“Pinyadda is the easiest and most entertaining way to learn about current events and spark conversations about it with friends, just with the click of a mouse.

This week in no user left behind we’re spotlighting Jeffrey Gomer.  Jeff works for John Hancock, which is right around the corner from the Yadda office in Boston — we’re always thrilled when he drops by after work to see what we’re up to, give us feedback, and offer us some laughs!  Jeff is a big socialite, and loves using the relationships he has with people he knows to meet other people. It’s part of why he’s on Pinyadda:

No User Left Behind: Michael Perkins

“I use Pinyadda because it is an easy way to get direct information through the two channels that are most important to me: reliable websites and my friends.

This week in no user left behind we’re please to spotlight Mike Perkins, who works at the economic and financial consultancy, Charles River Assotiates.  Mike has been a phenomenal member of the Pinyadda community, joining way back in our infancy in November of last year.  He’s seen and taken part in our product development over the last 9 months, contributing to user testing sessions, emailing feedback, supporting us at events and meetups we speak at and generally just dropping by our office to say hi and see what we’re working on.  Here’s how and why Mike has been on Pinyadda all this time:

No User Left Behind: Brianne Barrett

“I regularly share articles of interest to my colleagues if I think it is relevant to their clients and current PR efforts.  I’ve seen, first-hand, how Pinyadda can help working professionals get better at their job.  In my opinion, Pinyadda is one of the most useful resources for a public relations professional and business owner!”

Brianne Barrett is an Account Director at public relations/integrated marketing firm, marlo marketing/communications, based in Boston, Mass. She leads the agency’s consumer teams, with a focus on both national and local beauty, fashion, fitness and lifestyle accounts. She also serves on the Executive Committee for the Emerging Leaders of the United Way Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley.  Oh, and did I mention on top of all this she is the co-owner of an innovative women’s clothing boutique, First Date Boutique, located in Andover, Mass.?  Needless to say, we’re thrilled to learn more about how Pinyadda helps Brianne stay on top of what’s important in her busy life and all she’s involved in leading:

No User Left Behind: Stefan Stewart

“It’s great; everything’s in one place. You choose your topics and your sites, and it filters the sh*t.”

Stefan Stewart is one of the most active users from overseas in the Pinyadda community.  He’s an artist — dancing and choreographing — and enjoys other active activities like sailing, cycling, gaming and of course the most followed topic on Pinyadda — food.  Stefan also describes himself as a big reader, so it’s no surprise he likes Pinyadda most because it helps him stay on top of all his interests by serving him articles on topics he’s into and the ability to keep track of his favorite sites, all in one place:

No User Left Behind: Anthony Tripicchio

“I started using Pinyadda because of my friends; turns out the website has an addiction level equivalent to heroin, and now I can’t stop.”

This week’s no user left behind is Anthony Tripicchio.  He’s only been in the Pinyadda community since April, but has quickly amassed a great following with all his eclectic pins and comments. Anthony sells insurance by day, but if you look at everything he pins and all his badges, you’ll know he’s into just about everything else!  You’ll find him pinning about everything from meat-flavored vokdas moving in on fruit vodkas to trash talking about the Germany / Argentina World Cup game.  And you’ll be able tell from his interview below that it’s his humor attached to pins that’s likely gotten him all his followers!

No User Left Behind: Pat Mylett

“Pinyadda is a news feed of all different news and current event articles that you and your friends are interested in.”

This week’s no user left behind is short and sweet with Pat Mylett.  Pat’s been using Pinyadda since we opened up in public beta, and he’s truly made Pinyadda his digital watercooler since, pinning articles (often with inside jokes attached) back and forth with all his friends.  You can find Pat dropping his two-cents in on everything from the 65-year old who was named Australia’s sexiest Grandma to whether social media networks increase happiness.  Pat is a sales rep at MEDITECH, and spends a good part of his non-working digital life reading news and g-chatting it up.  So for Pat, Pinyadda is a natural extension of his online routine (except in one place) and why he logs in every day:

No User Left Behind: Adam Altimas

“Pinyadda is like Google Reader on its fourth cycle of steroids.”

Don’t get me wrong, the competition is stiff, but Adam Altimas just might have the best one liners on Pinyadda.  Debate aside, we’re happy to have him as our no user left behind this week!

Adam works in IT security and compliance for one of those retailers you think of when you hear “stolen card data” – but rest assured, we haven’t heard anything about the retailer since Adam joined the team.  Adam’s really into sports of all types (but you won’t catch him rooting for any that aren’t from Mass.), and he also stays on top of security, real estate and current events.  So, you’re apt to find him pinning and discussing all sorts of interesting things from Kendrick Perkins being shopped around to Senate approving home tax credit extensionses.  He likes that he can stay on top of all his interests on Pinyadda, but it’s the community interaction that keeps him coming back every day:

5 Ways to Yadda More Effectively

One of my favorite things to read is Cheryl’s No User Left Behind posts every week. It amazes me the incredible things people share with her about how and why they use Pinyadda. I learn new things and get new tips and tricks from users every day, so I decided to offer my own insights on how to get your Yadda on more effectively.

No User Left Behind: Brian Fox

“Pinyadda really shows the power of network economics, in which the gains are disproportionate to the amount of effort put into contributing.”

This weeks no user left behind is Brian Fox, who we had the pleasure of meeting with to talk network theory and all sorts of other good stuff at our office yesterday.  Brian is an a economic consultant for Navigant Consulting, where he describes his job as “proving that some company owes another hundreds of millions of dollars based on sketchy or non-existent data.” You’re most apt to find him pinning about economics like this article on The Man Who Could Unsnarl Manhattan Traffic, but you’re just as apt to find him pinning on all sorts of other things from science to politics like this article on Who’s Leading the GOP.

Brian is really into the notion and gains from the diffusion of information, intending to embark on getting his PhD in economics this fall — and it’s at the heart of why he’s on Pinyadda:

No User Left Behind: Jeff Haskell

“Pinyadda is like a news boomerang.  You can throw articles in wild directions at different people, and they come back to you with all sorts of insightful commentary.”

This week’s 2nd no user left behind is Jeff Haskell.  Jeff has just a ton of interests – a self-described “geek and guru of many things.”  You can find him pinning articles on everything from gas mileage bonuses on aluminum cars to where people are moving in America.  And, well, anyone who akins Pinyadda to a boomerang is a must-follow regardless of matching interests!  Here’s why Jeff’s on Pinyadda:
